Fun Lesson Activity about The Salamander
This game is a fun way for kids to learn about salamanders. First, on a large sheet of paper, draw a maze. Draw fun facts throughout the maze from start to finish. For example, draw predators and write, “Lost a leg. Wait two weeks for it to grow back.” Or another area could say, “Daytime. Wait until dark to go back out.” Have the finish line be by a source of water, such as a river or a lake. Then, write, “Lay an egg in the water. The egg will have no shell.” Once the maze is completed, make enough copies for each child to have his or her own. Then, tell them to make their way through the maze. After all of the children have finished the maze, ask them to share one thing that they learned. Challenge each child to say a different fact from all of the other children.
