Fun Lesson Activity about The Chicken
For this activity, take out one egg and a small bowl or plate. Crack the egg into the plate or bowl and then show the kids where the baby chicken grows. The shell is what protects the baby chicken and the yolk is what feeds the chicken before it hatches. Once you’re done with the small demonstration, you can give them a couple of cotton balls. Have them glue the cotton balls together and then glue on feathers. Have them glue on a couple of googley eyes and a small triangle of construction paper for the beak. They now have their very own baby chickens that hatched from their egg!
