To make a damselfish, first, give all of the children a sheet of white construction paper and markers. Print out pictures of damselfish and show them to the children so that they know what they look like. Then, have them draw and color a damselfish on their paper. Make sure they draw stripes onto their damselfish. Once all of the children have finished their damselfish, give them scissors and have them cut their fish out. Cut out a large sheet of blue paper and tape it to the wall. Give the children tape, and tell them to tape their fish to the blue paper, which will represent the water. Then, let the children see all of the damselfish swimming together in the water. Explain how damselfish swim in groups called schools. Share some more facts about damselfish as well, such as they can be aggressive and sometimes act very angry.
