Fun Lesson Activity about The Sea Lion
This fun and interactive game is a great way for the kids to learn about sea lions. Take all of the children to a large open area. Then, tell them about how sea lions use all four of their flippers to walk across the land. Have them pretend to be sea lions walking on land around the room. Next, tell all of the children about how sea lions only use their front two flippers to swim or glide through the water. Have them pretend to be sea lions swimming through the water. Then, ask all of the children to draw, color, and cut out prey of sea lions. For example, salmon, sardines, and squid. Also, draw, color, and cut out a few sharks. Next, place the pictures of prey and predators around the room. Have the children either “walk” or “swim” to find prey around the room to eat. If they run into a shark, they are out of the game.
