Fun Lesson Activity about The Rattlesnake
This activity is a fun and interactive way for the kids to learn a few basic facts about rattlesnakes. First, collect enough empty toilet paper rolls for each child to have his or her own. Give each child a roll, markers, construction paper, and tape. Let all of the children color and decorate their toilet paper rolls to look like a rattlesnake’s skin. Show them a picture of a rattlesnake so they know how to color it. Once they finish this, show them how to tape a piece of construction paper over one end of the toilet paper roll so it closes it. Then, pass out a large handful of rice to each child. Ask them to put the rice inside their toilet paper roll. Next, tell them to cover the other side of the roll with construction paper and tape. After every child has finished creating their rattlesnake shaker, let them shake and play with it. Also, share a few facts about rattlesnakes, such as they are venomous.
