Fun Lesson Activity about The Butterfly
Give each of the kids a piece of paper and safety scissors. Tell them each to fold their paper in half and then draw out half of a butterfly shape. You can make an example to show them while you’re explaining. Tell them that the top and bottom has to be round for the body and the wings can be any shape they want. Once they’ve cut out the butterfly shapes, have them add patterns and color it in any way they want. Once they all have their butterflies, show them pictures of butterflies with the projector or just on the computer screen if it’s a small class. Tell them the names of each type of butterfly. Once you’re done, give them a paper with a few types of butterflies and pictures so you can ask them questions about it later.
