Fun Lesson Activity about The Koala
For this activity, you’ll need to bring in some larger sticks from outside for your students. Hot glue some of the sticks together so there will be a fork in the tree. Give each of them a stick and let them glue or tape on some construction paper for leaves. Once their sticks are decorated, give them some grey cotton balls from the crafts section to glue together for the body of their koala. Give them smaller black balls for the eyes and nose. Have them glue their koala to the tree wherever they want. Each of their trees and koalas will be different. Once they’re being set off to the side to dry, explain that koalas spend most of their time in eucalyptus trees eating the leaves.
