Fun Lesson Activity about The Onager
The Onager is a relative of the horse family and looks similar to barnyard animals students may be familiar with. Print off a picture of a horse for each student to compare to their picture of the Onager. Have students circle features that are similar on both the horse and the Onager. Then have students draw arrows pointing out parts of the animals that may seem different. Ask students to ask what other similarities or differences could have between each other. For example the Onager grazes on grass and other plants like a horse would. But unlike most horses, the Onager lives specifically in the Middle East and parts of Asia.
