Fun Lesson Activity about The Blue Whale
This is an interactive way to help kids learn a few facts about blue whales. As a group, ask all of the children about some facts about blue whales. For example, ask them how big they think a blue whale is. Make it fun by comparing its size to other objects or animals. Or ask the children how much they think a blue whale’s tongue and heart weight. Again, compare its weight to other objects to help the kids get more perspective. Also, explain to children how blue whales are one of the loudest animals on earth. Let them listen to what blue whales sound like, and then, ask them to share their best imitation of a blue whale. Continue to share facts about blue whales, such as they eat krill, they need air to breathe, and they like to swim in deep ocean waters. At the end of the lesson, ask each child what his or her favorite thing he or she learned was.
