Fun Lesson Activity about The Black Panther
This activity is great for getting kids to work together to learn about and teach others about black panthers. First, write several fun facts about black panthers on cards. Write one fact per card. For example, “Black panthers can jump twenty feet high into the air.” Or “Black panthers are really great at climbing trees.” Or “Black panthers are actually just black jaguars.” Then, split all of the children into small groups. Give each group one or two fact cards, depending on the number of groups. Have each group talk about a way to share their fact or facts with the other children. They could demonstrate the fact, plan an brief activity, or draw their fact out. For example, if a group has the fact “Black panthers eat deer, monkeys, rabbits, and birds,” then they could draw pictures of these animals and show all of the other students. Once each group has figured out how to show their facts, then ask them to share, one group at a time, their fact with everyone.
