Fun Lesson Activity about The Bison
This lesson is a fun way for children to learn about bison. First, on a large sheet of paper, draw an outline of a life size bison. Then, hang it on the wall. One at a time, have all of the children stand next to the bison to compare its large size with their own size. Explain to all of the children how bison are the most heavy land animal in all of North America. Show them pictures of grasslands in North American where Bison live. Also, show them pictures of the large, curved, and sharp horns that bison have. Then, give the children a sheet of paper and markers, and let them draw their own bison. Also, have them draw and color a grassland background for their bison. After all of the children have finished their picture, let them walk around the room and see the other children’s drawings.
