Fun Lesson Activity about The Wolf Pup
This game is a fun and interactive way to teach kids about wolf pups. First, get enough blindfolds and headphones for every child to have his or her own. Tell all of the children that they are going to pretend to be wolf pups, or baby wolves. Ask them to put on the blindfolds and headphones. Also, tell them to plug their nose. Then, tell to to try and walk or crawl around the room and do some kind of activity. After a minute, tell them to take their blindfold and headphones off. Ask them if it was hard to get around, se, hear, and smell. Then, explain that when baby wolves are born, they are blind and deaf and have a really poor sense of smell. Explain how baby wolves are able to do stuff and survive. Specifically, explain the role of the mother wolf in feeding and taking care of the wolf pup. If time allows, share a few additional facts about wolf pups with all of the children. For example, “wolf pups are hunted by bears and eagles.”
