Fun Lesson Activity about The Raven
This is a fun activity for kids to get up and move around and also learn about ravens. First, show all of the children pictures of ravens so they know what one looks like. Then, give them all a sheet of white construction paper and markers. Ask them to draw their own raven. Also, give them a handful of black feathers, and have them glue or tape the feathers to the body of their raven. Once all of the children have finished creating their raven, have them stand up. Tell them about the different skills that ravens have, such as chasing, diving, and rolling through the air. Ask them to demonstrate these skills. For example, for chasing, let them chase one another around the room. Also, draw, color, and cut out food for ravens, such as eggs, insects, and rodents. Have them “fly” around the room and hunt for food. Tell them to sound their best imitation of a raven when they find food.
