Students may know that they can have a rabbit as a pet, but they know there are different species of rabbits? Bring in various pictures of other domesticated rabbits and have students notice the differences between the rabbits. Maybe it is in color, fur patterns, or size. Then see what they notice about the angora rabbit. Angora rabbits are known for their fluffy coat. Their fur is shaved every three to four months and the soft fiber can be used to make clothes. They have been domesticated and are now a very common pets around the world. They enjoy eating hay, grass, and some fruits.
