Fun Lesson Activity about The Red Panda
The Red Panda is around the size of a house cat and looks more similar to a raccoon than a giant panda. Red Pandas live in the mountainous areas of Asia. They enjoy spending their time up in trees and use their long fluffy tails to help them stay warm in the chilly climate. Red Pandas are also known for the markings on their face that make it look as if they are wearing a mask. Have students make their own masks. Gather red brown, black, and white construction paper. First cut a large oval in the red brown paper and cut two small holes in it where the student’s eyes will be. Then have students glue and decorate their mask with strips of black and white construction paper. Make sure to include white ears and a black nose.
