Fun Lesson Activity about The Tree Frog
To make a tree frog, first, gather enough small paper cups for each child to have his or her own. Give each child a cup, markers, and a sheet of construction paper. Have them color their paper cups green. Then, using the construction paper, have them draw, color, and cut out the frog’s hind legs. Flip the cups upside down, and tape the legs on the bottom, which is actually the opening of the cup. Then, give each child a large pair of googly eyes, and tell them to glue them at the rim of the bottom of the cup, which should be facing up. Next, ask them to cut a long, thin rectangle from the construction paper and color it red. Show them how to roll it up to look like a frog’s tongue. Then, have them glue it on their cup. Once all of the children finish their frog, take them outside, and let them place their frog in a tree somewhere.
