Fun Lesson Activity about The Tiger Face
Objective: This is another art exercise using pastels.
Materials: A large picture of a tiger face for each student, pastels of different colors.
Instructions: This exercise is for students to begin using pastels. Show the students how pastels work very well to blend different colors and get new colors. This lesson could also include a lesson on shading objects correctly based on where the light comes from. Do an example with a ball and but a point where the light is coming from on the ball. Make this part of the ball lighter in color and then make the part of the ball away from the light darker. Tell the students to use these techniques when coloring their tiger faces with the pastels.
