Fun Lesson Activity about The Stingray
To make a stingray, first, give each child a large sheet of construction paper. Show them how to draw the body of a stingray, and then, have them draw their own and color it. Tell them to cut out the stingray’s body. Then, give them a long, thin stick to attach as a tail/stinger. Next, give them another sheet of paper, and tell them to draw, color, and cut out the eyes, mouth, nose, and mouth separately. Then, show them ow to properly glue on the parts to the stingray. Make sure the eyes are on the top and the noses and mouth on the bottom. After they finish this, lay out several sheets of tan/brown construction paper on the floor. This will be the ocean’s sandy floor. Then, have the children bury their stingrays in the dirt, and explain to them how this is what stingrays do to hide themselves from predators.
