Fun Lesson Activity about The Snow Leopard
This activity will allow kids to be creative while teaching them about snow leopards. First, draw and cut out rose shaped spots for the snow leopard from black construction paper. Make the spots different sizes and shapes. Then, give each child a piece of paper, markers, and a handful of spots. Ask them to draw a snow leopard on their paper and then glue on their spots however they want. Also, have them color their snow leopard. Once all of the children has finished drawing, coloring, and gluing on spots to their snow leopard, tell them to walk around the room and look at all of the other snow leopards. Specifically, have them notice the different patterns of the snow leopards’ spots. Then, teach them a few more facts about snow leopards and get them involved in any way you can. For example, if you tell them that a snow leopard can jump up to 50 feet, then ask them how high they can jump. Or split them into three groups and label each group “leopards” for the males, “leopardess” for the females, or “cubs” for the baby snow leopards.
