Fun Lesson Activity about The Siberian Tiger
On a large white sheet of paper, draw an outline of a tiger. Make enough copies for each child to have his or her own. Then, draw and cut out stripes from black construction paper. Make each stripe a different shape and size. Then, give each child an outline of a tiger and a handful of stripes. Ask them to glue their stripes to their tiger in any pattern they want and draw on a face for their tiger. Then, tell the children about the various environments that a Siberian tiger is found. For example, forests, snowy areas, and mountainous areas are all places a Siberian tiger may be found. Ask them to pick and draw one of the environments for their Siberian tiger on their paper. Once the children finish their Siberian tigers, let them go around the room and observe the different patterns, sizes, and shapes of tiger stripes as well as the different environments.
