Fun Lesson Activity about The Pitbull Dog
To make a pit bull dog mask, first, draw and cut out the head of a pit bull on a sheet of white card stock. Cut out holes for the eyes. Make enough for each child to have his or her own. Then, give each child a mask and markers. Provide the children with pictures of different pit bull dogs. Tell them to color their pit bull masks. They can color them brown, black, gray, or multicolored. Once they finish coloring their mask, punch small holes on both sides of the mask, and tie a string so they can wear it around their heads. Next, split the children into four groups, and ask them to put their masks on. Make four cards, and write pets on one, drug and bomb sniffing on another, therapy dogs on another, and search and rescue on one. Give each group one card. Ask each group, one at a time, to share what they do as pit bull dogs to teach the children about all of the different things pit bull dogs are used for.
