Fun Lesson Activity about The Piranha
This activity will help the kids learn about piranhas and also let them use their creative skills. First, give all of the children a sheet of paper and and markers. Show them pictures of what piranhas look like. Then, ask them to draw and color their own piranha. Give the children aluminum foil too if they want to use it to glue or tape onto the body of their piranha as shiny scales. After all of the children have finished drawing and coloring their piranha, tell them to cut it out. While they do this, hang a large blue piece of paper on the wall to represent the ocean. Then, have all of the children tape their piranha to the paper. Explain to the children that when piranhas live in large groups, the group is called a school. Next, set out several objects across the table, and ask the children to crush the objects with their hands if they can. Explain how piranhas can crush objects with their strong jaw.
