Fun Lesson Activity about The Mustang Horse
This is a great activity to help kids show their creative side while also learning a few fun facts about mustang horses. First, give each child a sheet of white construction paper and a pencil. Step-by-step, show them how to draw a horse. Start with the mustang’s body and head and then, the legs, hooves, tail, and mane. Once each child finishes drawing their horse, give them all markers, and let them color their mustang horse in. After all of the children finish, split them into groups. Pick one female and one male from each group to be the leaders. Also pick a couple of the children in each group to be the babies. Then, teach them how mustang horses like to live in groups, which are called herds and are led by one female and one male. Next, go around to each group and ask the children to, one at a time, say what they are. Females should say, “I am a mare,” males should say, “I am a stallion,” and babies should say, “I am a foal.”
