Fun Lesson Activity about The Mountain Lion
This activity is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about mountain lions. First, on several cards, write answers to fact questions about mountain lions. For example, write the name of a prey on several cards. Write different names of prey on each card. Or write North America on some cards and South America other cards so that when the question about where mountain lions live is asked, the children can answer using one of these cards. Then, give each child one of each type of card. Ask the children questions about mountain lions that they can answer using their cards. For example, “What other names are a mountain lion known by?” A child may hold up their card that says, “puma” or “red tiger.” Or if the children are asked about prey of mountain lions, they could hold up a card that says “deer” or “rabbit.” Ask each child to share what their card says after they all hold them up.
