Fun Lesson Activity about The Mountain Goat
This hands on activity will teach kids about mountain goats in a fun way. Demonstrate the facts you teach the children in the best way you can. For example, mountain goats have white wool. During the winter, they have two layers of wool. One layer falls off during the summer. Ask a child to volunteer, and put two white jackets or coats on them. Then, ask the child to take off the outer coat to show the shedding of the wool during the summer season. Another example is that mountain goats like to climb rocky ledges. Ask a child to volunteer to climb a small ledge, ladder, or hill. You could also let the children make beards from string to show how adult mountain goats have long hair under their throat. Or ask the children to separate into two groups, one group should be the nannies and the other group should be the billies.
