Fun Lesson Activity about The Leopard Seal
This matching game will help children learn about leopard seals in a fun and interactive way. First, write enough facts for each child to have his or her own on a card. Then, print out a picture that corresponds with the fact. One card should say, “This is a leopard seal.” This card would go with a simple picture of a leopard seal. Other facts include “a leopard seal can weigh as much as 1,000 pounds” or “leopard seals like to eat fish and penguins.” The first fact would go with a picture representing 1,000 pounds, and the second fact would go with a picture of fish and penguins.” Hang all of the pictures on a wall. Then, give each child a card with a fact on it. Tell them to read the card and tape it above the matching picture. Once each child finishes, ask them, one at a time, to read their fact to everyone.
