Fun Lesson Activity about The Lemur
This lesson will be a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about lemurs. Begin by showing all of the children pictures of some of the different types of lemurs. Give each child his o her own map of the world, and help them find where Madagascar is located. When they find it, give them a marker, and tell them to color it in. Explain that this is where lemurs live. Also, share how lemurs like to live in groups called troops. Ask the children t split themselves up into groups, or troops, like lemurs. Another example of how to make learning a fact about lemurs interactive is to have all of the children carry something on their back, such as a backpack or a stuffed animal. Then, explain to them how mother lemurs will carry their babies on their back for the first three months of the baby’s life.
