Fun Lesson Activity about The Kinkajou
The kinkajou makes its home in the South and Central American rainforests. While they may look similar to a small primate, the Kinkajou is actually more closely related to a raccoon. They spend their day sleeping and at night go out to find something to eat. They enjoy fruit, nectar, and honey. They will use their long tongues to help them slurp the nectar or honey. Bring in some sweet fruity drinks such as mango or pineapple juice. Pour a small amount of the juice onto a plate with rounded edges so the juice stays on. Then give students a bendy straw and ask them to suck up all the juice they can like a little Kinkajou.
