Fun Lesson Activity about The Husky Dog
First, make a snowy environment for the husky dogs. Gather white cotton and spread it out on a table. Then, cut out pieces of cardboard, and secure them together as if you were making a small box without a lid. This will be the sleigh. Cut out strips of cardboard to place underneath the box on the sides. These will be the feet of the sleigh. Next, draw the outline of a standing husky dog on a sheet of paper. Make enough copies for each child to have his or her own. Give each child an outline of a husky dog, and ask them to color their husky dog. Provide them with black, blue, and brown markers. Once each child finishes their husky dog, attach two long pieces of wire on the front of the sled. Tape each husky dog onto the wires to make it look like they are pulling the sled. Once all of the dogs are attached to the sleigh, move the dogs so that they pull the sleigh through the snow. Ask the children to count how fast the dogs can pull the sleigh from one side of the table to the other.
