Fun Lesson Activity about The Fennec Fox
This activity is good to let kids teach each other a few fun facts about fennec foxes. First, write facts about fennec foxes on index cards. Write one fact per card. For example, “fennec foxes have very big ears that help keep them cool,” “fennec foxes are the smallest species of all foxes,” and “fennec foxes can go a long time without any water.” Give each child a fact card. Tell them to split up into groups of three or four. Then, have each child share his or her fact with the other kids in his or her group. Give each group a large sheet of white paper and markers. Tell them to draw a picture that represents all of the facts in their group. For example, if a group has the facts “fennec foxes have very big ears” and “fennec foxes eat insects,” then the children can draw and color large ears on a fennec fox and insects on the paper. When all of the groups are done, have them share their picture and facts with everyone else.
