Fun Lesson Activity about The Eagle Head
This is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about bald eagles. Make a few different learning stations around the room. For one station, draw and cut out a large outline of a bald eagle’s head, and hang it on the wall. Give the children a big handful of large white feathers. Tell them to tape them all around the head of the ball eagle. Then, draw and cut out a large hooked beak for the eagle from yellow construction paper. Put double sided tape on the back of the beak. Next, line the children up and one at a time, put a blind fold on them and have them place the beak as close as they can in the correct spot on the eagle’s head. Once all of the children have finished, move on to the next station. One station could have a large tree drawn and colored on the wall. Give each child a picture of a nest cut out, and tell them to tape it where they think eagles build it. Another station could involve the children coloring the American flag to show that bald eagles are a national symbol of the United States.
