Fun Lesson Activity about The Bull Shark
This activity will have the kids putting together pieces of a bull shark while, at the same time, learning about them. First, get large sheets of paper. Draw a large outline of a bull shark without the tail and fins. Then, draw the gills, eyes, teeth, fins, tail, and mouth/ teeth separately. Cut all of the pieces out. Give one piece to each child. If there are not enough, the activity can be done again. Begin with the body of the shark. Have the child tape it to the wall and state one fact about it. For example, a bull shark can grow up to 11.5 feet in length. Then, one at a time, have the other children come up and place their piece in the correct spot on the bull shark’s body. Each time a piece is placed, the child should state a fact about it. For example, for the child putting on the tail, he or she could say, “a bull shark uses its tail to swim fast through water.”
