Fun Lesson Activity about The Bighorn Sheep
This matching game will teach children some basic facts about bighorn sheep. To prepare for the game, first write several facts on cards. Write one fact per card. For example, “Bighorn sheep are related to goats,” “Bighorn sheep are herbivores,” and “Bighorn sheep sometimes use their horns for fighting.” Then, for each fact you write, print out a picture that matches the fact. For example, for “bighorn sheep are related to goats,” you could print out a picture of goats. Or for “bighorn sheep sometimes use their horns for fighting,” you could print out a picture of two bighorn sheep fighting. Next, tape all of the pictures on a wall, and give each child one fact card. Ask them to match their fact to the right picture on the wall. Once they finish, ask the children, one at a time, to read their fact out loud to the other children.
