Fun Lesson Activity about The Beluga
This is an interactive way to help kids learn a few facts about beluga whales. As a group, ask all of the children about some facts about beluga whales. For example, ask them how big they think a beluga whale is. Make it fun by comparing its size to other objects or animals. Or ask the children how flexible they think the neck of a beluga whale is. Again, compare its flexibility to other animals or themselves to help the kids get more perspective. Also, explain to children how beluga whales are also known as white whales. Show them pictures of beluga whales and compare the pictures to other species of whales, dolphins, and fish. Continue to share facts about beluga whales, such as they eat fish, and they like to swim in groups called pods. At the end of the lesson, ask each child what his or her favorite thing he or she learned was.
