Fun Lesson Activity about The Aardwolf

The Aardwolf lives in the scrublands of Eastern and Southern Africa. They are related to hyenas, but rather than eating meat, the Aardwolf goes after insects. They can use their long sticky tongue to find termites. It is nocturnal and during the day sleeps in burrows while at night it goes out and eats. Since these animals are from Africa have student create their own rain stick. All you will need are some markers, a paper towel roll, some dry beans, and wax paper. Glue a small square of wax paper onto one end of the paper towel roll so the opening is covered. Then pour in the beans and seal of the other end with another piece of wax paper. Then have students decorate their new instrument with designs using the markers.
